Admire the region’s natural wonders, such as Vatnajokull, the king of Glaciers, Europe’s largest at 8,100 km², covering 8% of Iceland. There is also the smaller Skalafellsjokull glacier to explore: climb it, hike it or drive on it. Skaftafell National Park is a must-see, as is Jokulsarlon glacial lagoon, the spectacular setting for the James Bond film Die Another Day. Each of the hotel’s 31 rooms has a washbasin.
